In Honor of Harvey Skeele
This annual event is now officially called the Harvey Skeele ON Farm Fest, in honor of the late Harvey Skeele. Harvey was the Onondaga County Agriculture Council co-chair for many years and helped create both the Onondaga Grown campaign and the ON Farm Fest event. As a retired dairy farmer, Harvey had hosted thousands of visitors at his farm in Fabius. He loved to introduce people – especially children – to the world of dairy farming. Harvey‘s passion for agricultural outreach is reflected in the ON Farm Fest event, and in every interaction that takes place between farmer and visitor.
